Rainbow Day - Mime

Our class put up a mime for Miley Cyrus "s song " The Climb". This was the theme song for the hit movie "Hannah Montana". The words were meaningful & I like it the first time I heard it. However when I first tried to introduced the idea of a mime to this song to the class, it took a while for them to buy in to the mime idea .

I guess they were more inclined towards doing a usual songs with dance steps. With a little help from You Tube to explain to them what a mime was, most of them were ready to give it a try.

By the end of 2 weeks, I see happy faces as they practised the finer actions. Some of the actions taught were actual actions from sign language.

Mr Chia and several other teachers commented that our class stood out in the crowd with our black attire. The boys look like black knights . I was proud of them . Way to go 2F! Thank you parents for coming to support the stduents :)

And thanks to Miss Lisna for helping to take these nice shots.

For parents who could not make it for the performance , you may catch your child in action in this video. Enjoy :)

Learn To Swim Programme

This is the second session of the Learn to Swim program. As the weather was hot, the students had a splashing good time in the cool water. It was fun learning to swim with their own classmates. I was glad to see the excitement in the children. The swimmers were taught based on their different level of swim competence. That way, each swimmer can learn at his/her own pace. There will be 6 sessions of swimming lessons this term .
